Topic Overview:
This webinar provides an opportunity to educate about the criteria for recording versus reporting. Outreach will allow for a better submission of the injury and illness data and may improve injury and illness estimates.
Objectives:
1. Gain a better understanding of the requirements of Part 1904
2. Gain a better understanding of work-related “Bloodborne” cases.
3. Gain a better understanding of work-related “Tuberculosis” cases.
4. Present tools and resources available for a deeper understanding of Improve Tracking Application

Speaker Bio:
Ms. Valerie C Struve began her OSHA career in 1989 as a Safety and Health Compliance Officer in the Albany, New York Area Office. She currently works in the Office of Statistical Analysis in OSHA’s Directorate of Technical Support and Emergency Management (DTSEM) in Washington, DC. Ms. Struve specializes in the Recordkeeping Regulation Part 1904. During her 34 years with OSHA, she worked as a Compliance Safety and Health Specialist in the New York Regional Office and an area office in the Boston Region.
