Overview: The world of work is more virtual than ever before, even in the healthcare sector. Many healthcare systems are hiring talent without geographical barriers and more than ever, new employees are joining organizations from the comfort of their home offices and kitchen tables. Hybrid and remote work is the new normal and it has forced a lot of change in the way we onboard our employees.

At its simplest, virtual onboarding is the process of welcoming a new, remote workforce member to a system or company utilizing an online forum. Every part of the pre-boarding process (including the health clearance by OHS) must be cohesive with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The health screening appointment is often the first taste an employee will get of the company culture, so creating a virtual process for OHS must be well-structured, engaging, and purposeful.

In this webinar, you will learn how to develop a comprehensive virtual process for conducting a preemployment assessment at your hospital or healthcare setting.

This webinar will review the basic tenants of conducting a pre-employment health screening utilizing a virtual forum. The discussions will include:

1. Understand and identify the pre-hire population(s) that will benefit from a virtual OHS appointment.

2. Learn how to leverage technology and third-party resources to achieve onboarding objectives from anywhere in the US.

3. Review the importance of supporting policies and surveillance for 100% remote workers.

4. Discover tips for projecting warmth and boosting engagement in a virtual environment.

5. Discuss the pros and cons of a virtual platform.
