Recognizing Occupational Health Nurses
Each year, AOHP dedicates a week in April to recognize the important contributions of occupational health nurses. Not only do occupational health nurses/professionals take responsibility for employee care, but they have a responsibility to advocate for organizational policies that help to recognize occupational hazards and advocate for new and safe technologies. AOHP raises awareness of these imperative contributions each spring.
National Occupational Health Providers’ Recognition Weeks
In observance of national occupational health providers’ recognition weeks (National Occupational Health Nursing Week April 19-25, 2009 and North American Occupational Safety & Health Week May 3-9, 2009) AOHP is pleased to provide you with the attached poster. We send this poster to members to acknowledge your role in caring for healthcare workers and demonstrating the various roles that you assume such as educator, clinician, and case manager.
Please display this poster in your clinic or in a prominent area in your healthcare facility. Use this poster to acknowledge these special weeks, which honor all occupational health professionals. Please consider displaying it for the rest of the year as well.
You can download this poster and print on letter-size paper or as a larger size poster. You can purchase extra copy(ies) of the poster by contacting AOHP Headquarters info@aohp.org. The cost is $5/each.
