Posted March 21, 2008 LPN - Employee Health/Infection Control Assistant Are you an LPN looking for an opportunity to make a difference, work part-time, and get health insurance? Then this opportunity may be for you! The Employee Health/Infection Control Assistant works 48 hours every two-week pay period and is eligible for health insurance coverage. Hours are approximately 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m, Monday through Friday, with no weekends, no holidays, and no heavy lifting. It supports Employee Health and Infection Control in assuring that an organized and effective program for employee health/infection control is maintained and monitored. The assistant is available for employee consultations regarding health issues. Also actively initiates and coordinates programs and provides corrective measures to promote wellness and protect the health of Overlake Hospital employees, and complies with various agency requirements pertaining to occupational health and safety. Responsible for supporting surveillance and statistical analysis of actual or potential infections, institution of corrective measures, education of hospital and medical staff regarding infection control principles and control measures, research into new methodologies to assist in the control of infections, and establishment and maintenance of written documents concerning infection control. Must have LPN degree and current WA state licensure (upon hire) as an LPN. Five years minimum in medical/surgical nursing preferred.
