Over 1 billion customers every year depend on MTA New York City Transit
(NYCT), the nation's largest transit system, and we in turn, depend on a
dedicated team of professionals to help us meet the needs of the
organization. We currently have an opening for an Assistant Vice
President, Occupational Health Services.
This position is responsible for ensuring that New York City Transit
employees are physically and emotionally capable of carrying out the
principle duties and responsibilities of their positions and for
ensuring that employee productivity and availability are optimized. The
Assistant VP will be responsible for the efficient operation of
facilities (Medical Assessment Centers) and an Employee Assistance
Program as to support the needs, goals and strategies of NYC Transit's
operating departments.
Qualifications:
- A BA degree in a related discipline along with 10 years of strategic and
hands-on experience managing a complex multi-function organization.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of managerial/supervisory experience.
Advanced degree in business administration, health management or
public administration is preferred. Experience in a hospital or
occupational medicine operation and in a collective bargaining
environment is desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of
federal, state and city regulations applicable to occupational medicine
is also desirable; a Master’s degree is a plus.
