Georgia Chapter
Our next Lunch & Learn is scheduled for August 17, 2006 and the Fall
Conference will be on November 8 & 9 in historic Warm Springs, GA.

Illinois Chapter
Our next meeting will be held on August 23 at 9:30 am in Springfield Illinois.

North Carolina Chapter
Chapter meetings:

- November 3rd at Alamance Regional Hospital hosted by Mary Jane Brown

PA Central Chapter
Our next meeting will be held on September 15, 2006. The scheduled speaker
is from the PA Department of Health. The topic will be “Vaccines
for the Health Care Worker.” For more information, please contact

Virginia Chapter
Our next “mini” conference will be held in Fishersville, VA
on Sept 28th and will be hosted by Gail Johnson from Augusta Medical center.
Topics are Sharps Injury Update. Our Fall/Winter Conference will be held
in Fredericksburg on Dec 7th and will be hosted by Mary Washington Hospital.
This will be an “all day” conference.
Wisconsin Chapter
In July, we will have our annual summer potluck, graciously hosted by
member Mary Vandenberg. Since I have been a member of AOHP, Mary has opened
her home to provide us with a relaxing atmosphere. As in the past, I am
sure it will be a great break from the office and a time to share our
successes.
Our September meeting will be held at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Carla Cisler, Vice-President of our chapter, has invited a guest speaker to discuss the topic of bariatrics. The bariatric patient population often provides challenges to facilities that provide these services as they look to ensure employee and patient safety.
